Message from the President Every spring brings in a breath of fresh air.. the snow begins to thaw and the ground starts to come back to life.
As the world braces unique challenges, we must continue to stand with each other as a community and do what we can to support peace and harmony.
My heart goes out for the innocent lives lost in Ukraine, and I hope things resolve soon.
We at PMI MN are doing our part to support the Immigrant population in the US, and will continue to do so. On March 26, PMI MN hosted the Presidents Gala at The Minneapolis institute of Art, to honor and celebrate our dedicated Volunteers and leaders. We used this opportunity to collect necessary items for Afghan Refugee families in Twin cities, as part of the rehabilitation program. In other news, I am excited to announce the PDD dates for this year – Sep 12 - Sep 13. It will be an in person event at Mystic Lake Casino at their state of the art conference center. Planning is underway to bring in the best speakers, with cutting edge technology and topics from around the country. It will be a great opportunity for learning and networking for our members and the registration details will be posted on our website soon. On April 9, we have our “Project Manager Skills for Life” training for youth 13 and up. This is a FREE session and I would encourage people to attend if they can.
On April 25, we are bringing back our PMP boot camp classes, on popular demand. If you are looking to get a PMP, boot camp is a great way to do it.
There are other events on Agile and Artificial intelligence happening in the May. Details are posted on our website. As things get better, we will also bring back in person events in Summer for learning and networking. I will keep you posted as our teams plan those.
Be Safe. Remember to take care of yourself first and then your loved ones, and enjoy the spring !
l
Sincerely, Manish Kalra, MBA, PMP®, CSM, AHPP PMI MN President, CEO
