A message from the President:
Hello PMI Minnesota Chapter Members
Happy Holidays to all. I hope everyone had a relaxing, fun Thanksgiving and got a chance to spend time and connect with family and friends. It is hard to believe we are already in the month of December. As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we have taken together as a chapter. It is with immense gratitude and pride that the PMI MN Leadership extend our heartfelt thanks to you our members, our dedicated volunteers, for your commitment and dedication to the chapter. Thankful to our volunteers for their invaluable contributions throughout the year, and for giving so much of your time to serving our members. Your passion for our profession and willingness to serve has been the driving force behind PMI MN chapter’s success. I want you to know that your tireless efforts, and dedication to the chapter and to our community has not gone unnoticed. Kudos!
This year we went through significant leadership transitions, a lot of you rolled up your sleeves and filled in carrying on the torch to get us to where we are today. Your resilience and your willingness to go the extra mile for our PMI MN chapter community is remarkable. We also have significant successes this year, most importantly our Professional Development Days event was a hit. It was well attended and the caliber of speakers along with the content presented was well received. Thank you to our sponsors and partners as well for supporting us; we are sincerely grateful. Your Chapter Leadership is excited about the possibilities and opportunities that lie ahead in 2024. With our newly elected leadership in place, we plan to continue to deliver relevant programs, events and networking opportunities to our members and volunteers and hope you will continue to be an integral part of our journey.
2024 is a special year for PMI MN as we turn 40. We are excited and plan to celebrate this milestone in a memorable way. Please save the date for our Annual Volunteer Appreciation Gala on May 4, 2024. In 2024 we will be celebrating our 40th Anniversary at the Volunteer Annual Gala and are planning to open it up to our members to attend in celebrating our 40th anniversary for a small fee. More to come on that as we get into 2024. I would like to use this opportunity to remind our volunteers to please log their volunteer hours for 2023 if you have not done so.
As we say goodbye to the year 2023, we want you to know how much PMI MN Chapter Leadership appreciates our members and volunteers. To our volunteers, you are the driving force behind our success, and we sincerely appreciate you. If you are not already volunteering, please consider becoming a volunteer with the PMI MN chapter in 2024, please visit our website at www.pmi-mn.org
In Gratitude,

Volunteer of the Month: Rachel Mussell
The PMI MN Chapter is honored to present Rachel Mussell as our December 2023 Volunteer of the Month.
"This nomination is long overdue! Rachel has always gone above and beyond since she started volunteering on the programs committee. She was instrumental in getting our monthly dinner meetings back to in-person events. She also took over planning of the LIM R2/R3 event last summer, over and above her volunteer commitment to programs. She also helped teach and introductory PM class at Bethel last year. She's helped improve the class, and we'll be teaching it again together at Bethel on 11/11/23."
Thank you, Maggie Pittelko
Thank you, Rachel, for all of your enthusiasm, time and energy for this role and project!
